If you are considering mediation, we strongly recommend that you choose a mediator who has:
– Been trained specifically in mediation to industry-accepted standards
– Carries out suitable levels of professional development
– Follows an appropriate Code of Conduct
– Provides access to a complaints process if necessary
By choosing a mediator that is registered with the CMC it will provide you with peace of mind that your mediator abides by a Code of Conduct, has been trained to acceptable industry standards, has suitable insurance, carries out continuous training and development and offers access to a complaints process if needed.
CMC does not presently register mediators working in areas such as family or community mediation. To find a family mediator, contact the Family Mediation Council.
Many of our Registered Mediators, Registered Mediation Providers or members also practise different areas of mediation.
