About The Bridge East Midlands:

Working for the community since 1993, we deliver a number of specialist housing related advice, support, and assistance services and accommodation options to homeless and vulnerably housed people across Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland.

Our services are independent, free and confidential and include specialist housing advice, mediation and counselling for young people, crisis support for households in food and fuel poverty, support for rough sleepers and ex-offenders that are homeless.

 The Bridge East Midlands provide the following services locally:

  • Intergenerational mediation (young people under 18)
  • School mediation
  • Bespoke mediation
  • Conflict coaching / one-to-one support

The organisation has the following in place:

  • All mediators have appropriate training
  • Written Code of Conduct
  • Published complaints procedure
  • Ongoing CPD and supervision/mentoring for mediators
  • Professional Indemnity Insurance cover (no less than £1 million)
  • Public liability and Employer liability insurance cover
  • Suitable and sufficient service administration
  • Registered with the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO)
  • Safeguarding policy
  • DBS checks for mediators
  • Risk assessments carried out for individual cases
