A qualified lawyer registered with the Istanbul Bar, she is also a visiting lecturer and tutor, teaching mediation, contract, commercial, and company law. Her LLM focused on hybrid ADR methods, particularly Med-Arb, and her PhD examines compulsory mediation and civil justice in England. Her research applies the Dispute System Design framework to assess goals and develop criteria for evaluating future success of the compulsory mediation scheme.
Trained as a Civil, Commercial, and Workplace Mediator, Zora previously worked at a mediation training and services provider, gaining robust practical insights into mediation. She has presented at international conferences, including the Law and Society Association and the Socio-Legal Scholars Association, and has co-authored an article on mediation and dispute resolution.
In addition to teaching, Zora mentors LLM students, supporting their academic and professional development, and is qualified as a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy. Her experience spans both the practical and academic dimensions of mediation, bridging the gap between theory and practice in the evolving field of ADR and civil justice.
