The first webinar in a new CMC series ‘Mediation in Session’ took place on 10 April with around 70 delegates learning how to build a thriving mediation practice with business development expert, Dan Mortimer from Performance Laws.
Dan spoke about the importance of cultivating relationships and enhancing visibility, stressing the importance of ‘having a system’ to keep on top of business development work. The differing approaches to business development at different stages of establishing your mediation practice were explored along with the dos and don’ts of ‘cold outreach’.
Questions from delegates ranged from how to connect with influencers to whether or not to offer discounts, making the hour fly by.
