CEDR Calls for Mediators to Participate in Mediation Audit
CEDR has launched its 11th Mediation Audit in collaboration with the CMC, gathering insights from civil and commercial mediators on key issues shaping the profession. The survey explores market trends, mediator experiences, and opinions on both current challenges and new opportunities in the field.
CMC Chair Kelly Stricklin-Coutinho said: “The CEDR Mediation Audit is a very valuable tool for all of us to better understand how mediation in the civil and commercial market is working in practice. This is a particularly important period to gather full data, in order to see whether anticipated changes in the mediation market following Churchill and the changes to the CPR are already happening.”
She continued: “I would encourage everyone to participate in the Audit so that we can all benefit from the richest data possible.”
Graham Massie, Director at CEDR and the author of the Audit, said: “CEDR’s biennial Mediation Audit will provide an important update on mediators’ activity, attitudes and experience. We have recently seen a number of important developments in the legal environment in which many mediations take place, and this Audit will provide more details of what is happening on the ground – are we fully recovered from the pandemic, is activity still growing, where do mediators see the field heading, and where do they want to get to in their own careers?”
